Dar with a beautiful rainbow trout. |
Fall is almost here officially, but it feels like fall now. Cooler temperatures and changing colors are the clues for us and the fish. Dar Soder and his wife, LaRonda, are visiting from Missouri. Dar loves to fish and he and Jack were on the mid to lower Bitterroot one day this week. The fishing was a bit technical for some of the time with tricos coming off, but Dar did used a variety of Jack's flies and definitely caught some beautiful trout. They had a lot of fun fishing and visiting while floating the gorgeous Bitterroot River.

Comment from LaRonda and Dar.
ReplyDeleteDar loved the WHOLE day--thought it was so much fun and that he learned so
much from Jack! But I had to write to tell you about his comments about
the gourmet lunch on the shoreline. He said Jack whipped out a tablecloth
and linens (you know, just like we use at home--not ) and then proceeded
to make the fabulous elk burgers, . . . .followed by your delicious cobbler.
He thought the day was fantastic . . ..and appreciates both of you so much.
He said he was pretty much a "green horn" but Jack was gracious and taught
him a lot . . .not just about fishing, but history--Lewis and Clark--etc.
